With its wide range of offers and its multifaceted and experience-orientated sports and major events, UniSport is an important part of the BUW's university culture and thus also influences the living conditions at Wuppertal as a place to study. It brings people together across faculties and motivates them to lead an exercise-orientated lifestyle through modern exercise, games, competitions and leisure activities that are appropriate for the target groups. UniSport focuses on health aspects in conjunction with academic and professional performance requirements and creates unique and, as it were, educational-institutional access to sport through learning programmes. The entire UniSport team pursues precisely this aim and is happy to help with questions, concerns, ideas and/or suggestions.
The SportsCard is an important prerequisite for participation in the extensive sports programme of UniSports at the BUW and serves as an admission ticket. To protect against misuse, we ask you to present your identity card, student/employee ID card and SportsCard when participating in courses.
After booking your SportsCard, simply select your favourite course(s), book them too and you're ready to go. Please note that in addition to the SportsCard, there is an additional payment for selected courses. All further information can be found in the respective course description/booking.

The Start Up course is your introduction to the university's BergWerk fitness centre directly on the Grifflenberg campus, where you will be introduced to our facilities and training options by one of our professional coaches.
During a personal anamnesis session, we will work out your individual goals together and create a personal training plan tailored to your wishes.
During the course, you will carry out the exercises discussed and our coaches will be on hand to advise you.
You can choose between basic (beginners) and pro (advanced) sessions.

The access authorisation to the BergWerk fitness centre is our FitnessCard. Please print out the confirmation of the FitnessCard and present it at the BergWerk check-in every time you visit. Alternatively, you can have our coaches issue you with a membership card or add your barcode to your Uni Wuppertal app.
The FitnessCard can only be booked after the first Start Up session has been successfully completed.
